Rach did a bad job of hiding my father's day present, so I discovered it and got to have it early. She got me Guitar Hero II for the PS2 and I love it! I'm currently about halfway though on the "medium" setting. I have no idea how anyone can play songs on the "expert" level. I'm not the only one who likes it:

Haven't gotten much of a response to it so far, but its a pretty simple article. I've been invited to write another, so we'll see how it goes.

Some of you may have heard of Apocalyptica, a bunch of guys that play Metallica and other metal songs on cellos (its pretty rad, check it out). Along a similar vein, I've stumbled across some other not so conventional tributes to Metallica:

Beatallica - Imagine Metallica doing Beatles covers. The singer sounds so much like James, its scary.
Harptallica - Metallica played by two harps
Pianotarium - Metallica played by an amazing pianist (heh heh....I said pianist)

Last night was the last episode of Rome. ever. This was by far the best show I have ever seen. Too bad it cost a gazillion dollars per episode to make, otherwise I think HBO would have made a couple more seasons. If you didn't have the pleasure of seeing Rome, go buy/rent/netflix the first season and wait for season two to come out. Also, no more new Battlestar Galactica until 2008. Oh well, I've got the last few episodes of the Sopranos to look forward to.

Well, I'm still doing pretty well, I'm currently 7th in my pool. I picked 12 of the Sweet 16 correctly and have at least 5 of the Elite 8 with one game left to finish. I'm usually pretty horrible when it comes to my NCAA bracket every year, and I'm pleasantly surprised how well I'm doing. Update 3/24 - I've got 6 of the Elite 8 and 3 of my Final teams still in it. guess we'll see how it goes...

Review: God of War 2: It's not all wine and roses - While some games might take your breath away in one or two interesting sequences, God of War 2 provides those drop-dead-holy-crap moments every 15 minutes. not a very pleasant story, but the headline for this on FARK is the best i've seen in a while.....

Doing pretty well so far, picked 13 of the 16 games correctly. Even picked the VCU win over Duke. I should have gone with my head and not my heart when I picked Gonzaga over IU, but I pick IU to lose in the first round every year they're in the tournament. Guess we'll see how I do today..... Go Boilers!
